Are Trickers still worth it after there latest price hike? 3-4 years ago a pair of boots did cost ~250 GBP, now it's 425. Other makers didn't increase their prices nearly as much. I know I could wait for a sale or buy at their outlet but I'm interested in a pair of espresso Burford with Dainite and those never go on sale.

Would you buy them at the retail price?

Looking at some old order emails, boots were 325gbp (270 ex VAT) in 2011.
    Today they're 425 (354 ex VAT).
GPB was about $1.60 in 2011 and about $1.35 now.
So for me in the USA, a pair of boots is about $478 today versus about $432 in 2011 or about a 10% increase.

Of course I haven't bought a pair of full price Tricker's in quite a while.
If anything, recent pairs I've picked up on sale have been as pretty cheap. Like under $300 shipped but I'm aware that's mostly due to brexit exchange rate fallout.

If you watch for it, the standard models will eventually go on sale somewhere.

Thanks for the reply. I wrongly remembered they were not that much more expensive than Loake 1880 a few years ago. If I was an American, tax exempt with the favourable exchange-rate, I'd instantly buy them. Unfortunately I'm from Germany, get VAT included and the EUR/GBP-rate is nothing to get excited about.

I never bought a pair of Tricker's at full price either. Have to sleep about this a bit.

Edit: Are the boots in your last picture those that the Tricker's outlet recently had? I was very close to buying them but two days later my size (8.5) was gone. Very nice boots.

    The gold golden suede Malton/Stows?
Those were from the Bureau Belfast about 2014.

Sorry, I meant the picture from @MSAINT. Those are fresh from the outlet.

    I think he's had those a while.
The Gloucester outlet ones they posted on Instagram yesterday have the padded collar and dark eyelets.
I gotta admit they were tempting but I don't think I need another blue cap toe.

My blue parade are from END if that's the pair you're referring to.
The only pair I got from the outlet are the LW I dyed in green.

BTY, it looks like END has ended its collaboration with Tricker's as it doesn't look like they're showing any hint of a season 17/18 batch of boots.
If that's the case its quite sad their MTO were often really great (and they had great sales also).
