The Red Shell that Tricker's uses looks more like Oxblood to me.

Sorry for the double post, but it looks like the general consensus is TTS on Stows? So, if I am reliably a US10 or EU44, with average to slightly wide foot, then go for a UK9?

saw it (online), looks really nice, a very deep/dark red/burg but not as dark as Cordo #8

Normally the conversion is EU 44 - UK 10 - US 11.

I am a UK 10 in the Stow, although I fear my feet have gotten bigger lately.

Trickers are generally a tad wide, but not long.

^Thanks, guys. Hmm, most conversions I see put EU44 as US10.5(or 10)/UK9.5... Maybe I will go with a UK9.5 to be safe, especially on the width.

I'm a 12D on the Barrie and trubalance lasts, and I wear a UK11.5 in a 5 width in the Trickers country collection, 12 in a 5 in their other offering.

To you Stow owners: do these boots break in fairly easily? Are they quite supple from the outset?

I'd like to pick a pair up in the next week or two, but I have really sensitive feet, and I've had big pain/chafing problems breaking in other boots in the past, even when padded.

What do you think of this grey boot? I am on the fence about grey boots but would like to go for something other than brown or black. Now that I think of black though, what do you think of black with the brass eyelets and a natural brown sole? http://novaclutch.typepad.com/novaclutch/shoes/ As for sizing. It's hard to tell when people are referring to UK or US sizing when it isn't specifically stated. Sorry for belaboring the point, but I am a US 8D in Alden Trubalance/Barrie. Would I be a UK 7.5 in Trickers, you think?

I can't remember exactly, but that sounds about right.

The Present ones aren't available in half sizes. I was there last week trying on the green ones. 10 was a tad small, 11 was way too big.

^^ that's a great looking shop, sorta mix of mod and workwear

@Magic1...that sounds about right for Trickers sizing. If they dont have half sizes I wouldnt recommend going down since they might be too small lengthwise, if anything better to go up and use an insole if slightly roomy
