You’d think brown but personally I prefer burgundy.Which would be the most versatile option for day-to-day office wear with a variety of jeans?

No midsole is usually a no from me as are too firm under foot with Dainite for example, with gunlite should be fine as that’s very soft; if you decide to keep them and wear the sole down a midsole can be added when it’s time to replace the gumlite.Hi everyone. I am totally new to high-quality shoes shoes and I have this pair of Kilsbys (Herring version) with a Vibram Gumlite sole and no midsole, which I am pondering whether or not to return.
Someone here was very unsatisfied with the model and complained about a lack of support after 5 months.
Overall, is no midsole+Vibram Gumlite a recipe for issues further on? I intend to use these for commuting and I do like to walk everywhere. The leather is so nice and I like the look, but if these are to cause problems and be uncomfortable or deform due to the lack of a midsole then surely it would make more sense to return them and get something else?
Sorry if I sound too ignorant - I absolutely am.
Sure. Thanks everyone for your comments. I might return them since I am looking for a single, perfect pair that will get me through the next few years as a postgrad student.I own a pair of Bourton's on Vibram Morflex, also without a midsole and shank. Got them brand new for €100 and was pleasantly surprised with their comfort, it's like walking on air.
Tradeoff is that you may feel a lack of support. I took them out on a night of bar hopping and next day my feet hurt from standing all day. Compared to Tricker's on Dainite weighing like 1.5kg for the pair, the Morflex feels more like a sneaker.
Is it my favorite, no. The heavy sole double sole construction provide a feeling of quality. However, as I don't want to wear sneakers anymore, I would like to add a 2nd lightweight pair to my collection.
@unfanciullo which color did you pick, and care to share a photo?
