Guys sorry for bothering. I contacted also EG about suitable leather care product because EG are my most expensive boots and they literally said that they don't recommend to use Saphir products on their leather.

I was almost decided to take Nappa Conditioner from Saphir but now I am on beginning. They recommend me to use their own cream, unfortunately shipping will cost more that cream itself. This is also reason why I wanted to avoid to Bick4 or another conditioners not available in local cobblers.
They recommend their own cream? 😮

Currently Tricker's sale includes the Ethan monkey boot, dark brown Olivvia scotch grain, with a Commando sole. What am I to do (tears rolling)? My present shoe stock represents several shoe-wearing lives already, but they look so nice!

Hello. I am new to the forum and have a few Trickers shoes and boots.

can anyone help me with last 81 size, pls? Some say it fits like the Bourton last, ie a.half size big. Is this true?

Thanks in advance.

James.

I looked for the last 81 on the Tricker's website but couldn't find it. What model of shoe/boot are you referring to? All I can say is that, as far the 4444 Bourton last is concerned, it is very generous, and I take a 43 (EU) in that last whereas I take at least a 43.5 in other makes. It's confusing, because I recently received some Tricker's Bourton size 9 (UK) and they are slightly too big for me. But I have another Bourton, also size 9(UK) that is perfect, and seems slightly smaller.
Confusing!
The only thing I would recommend is to order a half size smaller from Tricker's than you normally take WRT other brands, and be prepared to send them back for exchange if they're not right for you.

No, 81 last is more or less true to size. Fit is similar to 2298.

You should definitely get them. Or throw the dice and hope they make it to the factory shop and wait for a likely 20% off Valentine's sale.

It is a discontinued Fenwick in Olivvia. My Bourtons were 'as advertised' and I ordered a .5 size smaller which fitted perfectly. I like the 81 last juding by the Fenwick pictures. I have to say my Trickers are brilliant - no wearing in necessary. C and J, Allen Edmonds and (old) Church's always gave me blisters!

Yes, right, found the Tricker's Fenwick model with the 81 last. I suggest that you contact Tricker's directly through their website and ask them about it before ordering anything. It seems strange that this last is not mentioned any more. They usually reply quickly. This last seems to resemble something like their Mayfair 4537, but not sure. In any case, Tricker's always "come up large". And the more you wear them, even if they seem too tight at first, the leather gives and they're fine.

I second Zippy’s comments on this. The 81 last fits nothing like the 44444 and is much closer to the w2298. There is definitely no need to go half a size down.

Does anyone know about Trickers laser cut? I am seeing them on third party sites at around 270 gbp. Not sure if these are as good quality? Has anybody got a pair? Thanks.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
