I’d put leather laces on these and hardly worn them as leather laces are a pain to get on and off! Swapped them to these yellow and brown and works well in a modish way..

I had to pay duties on my latest Tricker's order today. I'm gonna put the blame on UPS for now, since usually this doesn't happen with DHL, but i'll still follow up with Tricker's CS to see what they say. Anyone else had a similar experience shipping to EU?

I had a couple of pairs delivered to Romania and I’m pretty sure I had to pay duty on both.

Some bonus comparisons with the Alden PTB

The Tricker's weighs 496g(!) vs the Alden at 540g, i can already tell the Tricker's will be just as supremely comfortable as the Aldens. Although they will have to wait a few months to get wear.

I had 2 recent orders with Tricker's and no additional VAT or duties. They arrived practically the next day (The Netherlands).

From the T&C's; Germany is an exception, but other EU countries should be all duties paid.

CS told me it was a mistake. After only 2 emails back and forth, they have fully refunded the duties i paid. Haven't had to deal with Tricker's CS before, but that was a great experience.
