Pink suede tassles picked up on sale. Wouldn’t be a colour I’d normally be into but wanted a suede one for summer (which is like two days here)!

Yes. Loafers.... Just wondering how they feel, and do they slip off the back of the heel when you walk? I've had problems with loafers doing this. Maybe I'll order a half size smaller if I ever buy any more. The suede looks great as do the shoes! I am tempted. Of course, if they're worn without socks, they'll cling to the feet better (a little sweat does the trick). And are they leather lined, or not? T's leather is generally thick enough to not need a lining for these slip-ons.

Loafers are my shoe nadir… I’ve had way more fails than wins. These I had to put toe pads in to help as pushes the foot back as opposed to forward with the heel version. Fit for me was then good. It’s subjective but works well. The suede quality is good. Trickers always use good leather so that’s fine. I like the look of them with the welt being quite prominent, gives a nice contrast to the colour and texture.

Now where is that damn ☀️…

Does anyone know a way of identifying which last boots were made on, other than Zippy's heel pad peeling method? Looking at some monkey boots but the 5402 last is a wrte-off for me so I'd need them to be the rare few that were made on 4497.

Occasionally the last is written on the box but this is unusual. The only other option is to get the model number written inside the boot and then contact Tricker’s to ask what the last is. I have done this before.

I think the last written on the box was mainly a thing from the old eBay factory shop days.

Speaking of which, back then there was a regular supply of stock model seconds available in addition to first quality interesting odds and ends. I wonder where those seconds go nowadays.

This was before my interest in Tricker's took off sadly. Now it's predominantly just a freak show.
