Oh yeah seriously, **** Dainite. Makes me so damn nervous to be honest.So far this winter I'd have to say the all leather Grassmere with a topy have surprisingly, or maybe not, been the most secure when encountering icy sidewalks, the Commando, Brit Sole and Ridgeway fair ok but the all popular Dainite IMHO should be banned, at least as far as winter is concerned and any wet slick surface as they are life threatening.?

what product have you found to meet the Acorn best
I have the Tricker's Fawn polish for Acorn. It's made in France. Bet it's Fauve repackaged.
Not sure if water proofing topic has came up before. But here is my recent experience. It was biblical rain here in Vancouver a few days ago, and I took these photos after a dog walk, purposely walking through clogged storm drains and all:

The storm welt kinda swelled up, soaking up water from the leather's cross section. This somehow pressurizes so the water stops seeping into the soles. ....
