Fingers crossed you don't get customs but with End it's almost guaranteed

Some Langston from STP in Beechnut, first pair in a while that hasn't been destroyed / clearly returned multiple times, took my normal size of 10UK fitting 5

Yea, it's the only store I've been hit with customs. Last time it was an LVC jacket. If I do, it'll wash out the discount.

Does anyone have some sizing hints? I'm usually around a UK9.5 standard width in C&J shoes and Tricker's W2298 . I'm looking to get the Trickers' Stow boot - should I say with the 9.5 or size down to UK9? Thanks for any help. Jim

Probably UK9 in the Stow if you take UK9.5 in the W2298.

Actually the 2298 is a little snug. Perhaps the 9.5 with a heavier sock will be ok. Thanks

Tricker's are 25% off at the Bureau.
    They take off VAT too.
Note: I've never been charged fedex fees/duties on Bureau deliveries.

I have both colors, and they both look good with denim, but I would probably give the edge to the Marron.

I think they'd look better as a captoe.

BTW, does anyone know if Tricker's makes a black leather double monk strap on some kind of a rugged sole, like a commando or black vibram christy?

I don't think I've ever seen a Tricker's dub munk on anything but a single leather sole.

But with Tricker's, almost anything is possible. (From Grahame Fowler)

What is with the Trickers Commando Soles? Is it my imagination or are they more stiff and unforgiving than most commando soles?

I believe Trickers use british commando sole, definitely thicker and stiffer than Alden's, comparable quality with vibram#100 IMO

Well who has Trickers with the commando soles? How are they after the shoe is broken in? Thanks, Jim

    Ilkley owner.

The commando sole is nice and chunky, but no more than a thicker vibram. Certainly thicker than a gumlite or the thin cleated sole on the Red Wing 9011/Beckman/GT. The Tricker's shoes that have the commando sole are generally heavy enough leather to support the heavier sole and to wear appropriately.

    Go for it.
