^ must be an optical illusion.
Those chukkas look interesting.
The less you wear them, the longer they'll take to break in. I'd just get on with it and be prepared for s little discomfort along the way.
A light coat of dubbin or pure neatsfoot oil will help soften the leather.

Does anyone have a pair of white Tricker's? If so, please share your 2 cents. I want a pair, but I fear that they will look horrible over time when they don't look bright white anymore.
I wouldn't worry about keeping them white too much since you'll wear them so rarely it shouldn't be a problem.
^Hahaha. Somehow that is very true. Perhaps I should put it on the back-burner for 2013 then.
these look pretty awesome
Agreed. In fact, I placed an order for them a few days ago and am expecting them on my doorstep before the end of the week. Leather Soul always has some great makeups from Tricker's but this is my first pair. I really looking forward to getting these, they will definitely be the most interesting shoe in my collection.
Was wondering if anyone put any Stows on some bright colored laces?
Broke out my Acorn Stows today for the first time since before winter....couldn't even count all the looks these things get.
Picked up some Shoestripes laces for that purpose but they were sadly too thin for country shoes.
