Those two photos are a little misleading -the Acorn looks much paler in the flesh. I have the Marron - side by side with the acorn, there's a huge difference. The Acorn, to me, is the signature Stow colour - very unusual & instantly recognisable. (My Marron are a factory shop pair, they didn't have the Acorn at the time).

The Bureau's photos are pretty true to life: Marron; Acorn .

Love those woodstocks. Been meaning to get myself a pair for ages, need to get around to actually picking up a pair. Also, too bad Trickers only offers a longwing model as MTO (and special orders etc). The longwing shape is tremendous on the heavy country lasts. Works really nicely as an alternative to Aldens and such, my next Trickers MTO will def be a longwing of some sort. This one's for Museum Ark:

I'd kop that, but that'd look tremendous in just plain and simple antique marron too.

Yeah, Trickers makes shoes for Thom Browne, so sure they have a nice longwing...

Great thread and my Stows were ordered based on the consensus that they fit TTS and sure enough 8UK/9US (fitting 5) were bang on to my great relief given that they were ordered without being able to try them on in person. But I am still confused over the conversion for non-country lasts such as the 2161 (Lambourn). The factory, Richard at Shoe Healer and some SF threads suggest an 8.5UK/9US (fitting 5) conversion for non-country lasts and sizing down a half size for country lasts. Given that my Stows reflect the 8UK/9US conversion do I go with the 8.5UK/9US conversion for the 2161? I'd appreciate hearing from those of you who have non-country lasted shoes. I'd like to do an MTO austerity brogue Stow on a sleeker (relatively speaking) last in Dainite for winter/foul weather wear. Something that would work with a "country suit for the city" esthetic.

I think that would be right. I wear a 11.5 UK on the country lasts, and a 12 UK in their city lasts.
