Medium should be fine . I’m a 40 and wear large, but it’s tight in the shoulder.

So update, I received both the medium and large. The medium fits a lot more flattering but the back/shoulders are a bit tight. In your experience did this area stretch out even a little?

ps if anyone needs measurements let me know, it was a little hard to find any sizing advice online for this jacket, I would be happy to help.

I’ll take you on the jacket’s measurements. It has been a piece on my radar for a bit, but a bit too similar in color to my Belstaff, which is my go to autumn outerwear.

No, the shoulders on mine are still the same. But you can get it let out I believe.

Both if possible. The shoulder measurements are usually what I’ve had issues with in other Barbour piece.

Has anyone got any tips on not sweating in a Barbour Ashby ?

I've been wearing a newly waxed Ashby and my arms seem to sweat, I believe its because of the lining thats been used in the arm sections of the Ashby. Or could this be because is recently been waxed ?

That is a common problem with the Ashby, as well as with other models: their polyester lining. Some people made it change with cotton and are happy with the result.
