I got my olive Beaufort from Cox the Saddler in the UK: https://www.saddler.co.uk/

They delivered from UK to US no problem, I imagine they could deliver to Aus as well

They also sell at UK prices, which tend to be a bit better than international prices, even with the currency exchange

What's a good Barbour to get started with? Looking for something classic but not too old man. I do have a Belstaff Trailmster jacket in black so I don't want to replicate that either. I'm usually a 44 but I want something that I can layer but not be too big on its own. There are so many options it can get a bit confusing.

I'd personally go with a bedale. It's fairly roomy in the chest to allow for layering plus it's not too long so feels a bit more modern. I have an Ashby, it's more fitted cousin, and I find it works well with a sweater under it. I know people wear bedales over tailoring so really depends on how you intend to wear it

Second this. Have purchased from Cox (for US delivery) a number of times and have always been pleased with the pricing and turnaround. Plus, they’re quite nice and professional if you ever have to address anything by phone / email.

Other good experiences for Barbour - House of Bruar and House of Fraser (latter in pure Ecommerce fashion - no interaction other than clicking on a website). UK pricing, fast turnaround.

Two questions about sizing if anyone can help.

I wear 40 on a International A7
Large on Duke
Medium on most Barbour jackets

On Durham classic
Should I go for 38 or 40?

On International original classic

(On the Barbour web the tell thati is Tailored. What???)

Should I go For 38 or 40?

Thanks

Is Durham as relaxed as they telll on the web.
Measurements on the web 38 pit to pit is 119,2cm and jumps to 40 129,2cm.
Anyone can confirm it?
From International classic could not find measurements.

hi everyone, I see that this topic is frequented by quite a few shoe topic friends.
I have owned a Barbour Lutz jacket for some time, it fits me perfectly in size L, there I would absolutely like to take a waxed cotton one, either the Bedale or an Ashby, I tried in a store a while ago Ashby in L and she also fits me perfectly, unfortunately they sold everything...
would you have a good plan to buy some on the internet? even if bitter brexit, delivery to France is too complicated in addition to the application of taxes , paradoxically it is less complicated to buy on a us store than an English store!
I know the Ashby and the slim version of the Bidale, but which do you personally prefer? if I have to take a Bidale, should I take size 40 instead?

I would prefer to go with size 38, as the Bedale has a more relaxed fit that the Ashby, size 40 only if you intend to use it over a sports jacket, Pitti Uomo style. I own a Beaufort and an International A7, both size 38, a Transport size "M" and I have tried the Ashby in size "L", as the "M" is too tight for me.
