Removed "Tokito Spey" from my search string.

    Yeah, that's the one.
It was 195GPB shipped from Oipolloi.

I have the tokito military jacket. It has a lining like the mountain parka. I find my jacket very marm. the sleeves are not lined. But who gets cold arms? The only thing i didn't like about the mountain parka was that the sleeve lining would turn inside out whenever i took the jacket off... a cool video of the military jacket

Could you post some fit shots of the border jacket? I have been looking at a second hand one but the man appears to be SWIMMING in it. like it's two sizes too big. He says it's a 42...so maybe he's very tiny...

No I think the size is right, I have a medium size and I have a chest of about 110cm (Im 5 7 with 180lb on top) and I would like a more slim fit on my trooper, with the medium I have a lot of room left (I have never put anything more than a shit and my trooper, so I cant comment on the fit with a chunky sweater)
I also have a vintage border in small (38/97) and it fit me well with little room left. Hope it help, I will try to post the measures.

Thanks for the reply. After stalking jcrew.com for the past few weeks, a mountain parka in my size finally popped up. If the sleeves are an issue, at least it will be an easy return. I really like the military jacket, even more after watching that video. If the MP doesn't work out maybe i'll look into it.

Looking for someone who is a similar size to me who has a Bedale. I'm about 5'10.5"/180cm and 135lbs/62kg. I would describe my frame as slight, boyish maybe, but not emaciated or disproportional. I tried on a 36 Bedale in store, and while I definitely liked it, and would wear it, I thought maybe it could look a bit better if it were slimmer. Does it sound like a 34 might be okay? I wouldn't say my arms are particularly long or short, so I don't know about the sleeves.

I am almost exactly your height and weight (perhaps 5 lbs heavier) a 34 COULD be ok but I personally wear a 36 and probably wouldn't go any smaller, as most of you know Barbour wax jackets over time shape to fit your body and tend to fit better over time. I would get the 36 just in case A. you gain weight and B. it will start to conform to your body.

When you say you wouldn't wear a 34, do you feel like if you had a 34 the sleeves would be too short, and/or that you couldn't wear a sweater or something underneath it? Looking online, there is no jacket length difference between the 36 and 34, so that's no issue, but the sleeves on the 34 are 1.5cm shorter than the 36, and the chest is 5cm smaller. That doesn't seem like much, at least for the sleeves anyway. I probably won't be satisfied until I hunt down a 34 and try it myself, only because I normally don't spend this much money, and I could potentially have it for many years.

The sleeves would be too short for sure - but I'd hunt it down to try it in on - I'm in Edinburgh so I have a barbour store right at my doorstep

Spey casting is normally done using a special double handled fly rod to roll cast, it started in Scotland. You can spey cast with a standard single handled fly rod though. The fleece is for you to stick your dry flies on to dry after using them and they become water logged, you don't want to put them back in a box while wet. And might want to use them again during the day and not dig them out of a box again. The D rings are for attaching all the accessories that so many people feel today are needed while fly fishing and usually attached to a zinger (retractable reel) for easy access and kept out of the way until pulled out from the zinger.

    Thanks

figured I'd post here but I picked up a Olive Bedale at the Outlet sale in NH last weekend in a size 36 and I'm not really loving it, tags are still on it, would anyone be interested? I'm going to throw it up in the FS section later today with pictures.

Received my Mountain Parka jacket yesterday and to be honest i'm not really that pleased with the fit. It feels pretty good in the shoulders, sleeve length is about perfect, but it is really loose in the waist/abdomen area. I can tighten the drawstring a little, but doing it too much makes the jacket look weird.

I usually wear a 40r in sportcoats and a medium in most button-ups. I have a size Large barbour cavendish jacket, which is in their heritage fit (http://www.orvis.com/store/product.aspx?pf_id=4a7h) and it is spot on. I was expected the to ki to collabs to fit similar. Is it just the style of the Mountain Parka, or have others come across this issue? Going to a medium would be too tight in the shoulders.

Any reason why you're not satisfied with it, or is it just not your thing?
