I heard the sapper has a contemporary fit. So i would guess, if you like how must modern mediums fit then get that size.

Are these in stock anywhere at a decent price? Looking for an XL.

I got one in an XL delivered from the UK. Was about $600. That was a few months ago now so I highly doubt you'll be able to find one today. I did see one a few weeks ago - it popped up on My Wardrobe and was surprised to see it discounted to about $450 - figured it must have been a return and they wanted it gone. Needless to say, it went quickly.

Hey guys, about to pull the trigger on a corbridge. I'm 6'3", 195lbs, athletic build, 39" chest. I should go with a large right? Gonna order from country attire and wanna make sure it's right because returning will be a pain..

I would be real concerned about sleeve length if I were you. I'm 6'1" 195, size 44. I recently tried the Sapper in XL. The jacket was boxy and the and the sleeves were too short.. I have tried numerous Barbours in the past few months and their sizing appears to be all over the place. In their new slimmer fits an XL was to small for me in the chest I would have to get an XXL for it to fit me. Best to get a Barbour where you can return it easily.

Thanks for the reply. Not really close to anywhere that sells barbour stuff. Maybe I'll order through orvis and return them after I figure out what size I need

Try Nordstrom. They don't have much of a selection but free shipping and returns. I have found that being relatively tall and lean makes it difficult to find any jacket that fits well. Appears you are taller and leaner then I am. You may need to consider a jacket in a long size.

Orvis is ripping people off with those shipping charges. Not to mention, compound that cost with sales tax on a $400+ item! Sorry, I'm buying from England. Like it was said earlier in this thread, shipping, currency convergence costs, and tax is cheaper than buying from USA. Plus, most online shops offer free gifts. Can't beat that.

Picked up a Beaufort on the 'Bay and am happy with my decision to get it over the Bedale despite my short stature (5'5"). It fills the spot in my closet for a casual jacket that can be worn over a sport coat, which I thought my Chelsea jacket could fill. The Beaufort is a 36.

I took the picture with a light corduroy sports coat to make the distinction between the Beaufort and the sports coat.

Countryattire also has measurements on their site. I think I might just compare one of my currents jackets to those and cross my fingers that its right.
I agree with Guus, ordering for the UK looks much cheaper, just scary as I don't know how we'll returns would work.
