I bought the To Ki To Shoreman and Bicycle jackets in size L a couple of weeks ago, but I pretty much only reach out for the Shoreman. I wore the Bicycle jacket a couple of times to walk my dog. $600 shipped in the US?
I also have an older Barbour X Margaret Howell A73 coat in size S from a few years back, that I'll sell for $175 shipped. I'll take pictures of both jackets and do proper listings soon.

So I haven't been keeping up to date in the menswear world, but when did Barbour x Tokito announce this re-release? Was there any chatter in this thread?

I've only seen this official Barbour page: https://www.barbour.com/us/tokito

If there any nerds in SF who wanna geek out over minutiae, I have an og Bicycle Jacket from AW09 that I'd love to compare/contrast with the re-release.

After reading some other forums.... I decided to use a dryer to shrink my Ogston jacket - I have 2. did the whole thing because I found the jacket to stretch quite a bit after wearing it only about three times. Cotton.... after all. Sprayed with a water bottle and put in in a drying bag. After about 35 mins, it changed very little. the length got shorter by a tiny bit and but the width changed only fractionally. I didn't get the character lines from some wax burning off fabric either. The overall color got ever so slightly lighter than before. if you are wanting to shrink your jacket by just only a little, I'd say the dryer method works. it won't go from Large to a Medium, however.

Hi all, I would appreciate your opinions on what you think looks and fits better in me between a size 32 and 34 Bedale. I'm wearing a 32 in the first five pictures and a 34 in the second five. I'm 5'5" with a 33" chest and 50kg.

@Ddubs , sleeves are too long for my taste with size 34.

Also, are you going to use your Bedale in cold weather? If yes, would all necessary layers (like a chunky cardigan) fit under size 32?

Yes. I'm wearing about the thickest knitwear I would be planning to wear with the 32 and it's roomy enough.

What's sizing/fit like on the Shoreman? Thinking about that or the Field Jacket. (Should've tried them on when I had the chance). Any comparison between it and a Bedale, Sapper, or any readily available barbour items?

Shoreman is oversized and very roomy. I have the OG one in XL and wear a Beaufort in c40.

Huh. Thanks for the help. Now I'm actually a tiny bit more confused. I'm a 44 in Bedale. Even at my "healthiest/fittest" I'm around a 44-46 inch chest and 20.5 across on the shoulders. You can imagine what shirt shopping is like haha.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
