Do you have any favourite knitwear brands that you layer under Barbour jackets in sub-zero conditions?

I like the Norlender Fisherman Sweaters. The same that LL Bean sells.Do you have any favourite knitwear brands that you layer under Barbour jackets in sub-zero conditions?
The Beaufort is a bit roomier and longer (for me). Since I wanted to wear it over tailoring, I chose it over the Bedale. I'm thinking of picking up a wool Bedale, though I haven't seen a pattern that I like.Hi! I am looking to buy a new Barbour, and cant for the life of me decide between Bedale and Beaufort. Have tried a 38 Beaufort and a 36 Bedale (store was out of 38) - any opinions? Will usually be worn with wider pants. I realize I will probably have to get both down the road..

Agree with ppk. I've got both. I typically wear the Beaufort over a sport coat, the Bedale over a sweater.
I'm 177cm and it's no problem... I have a calf length coat too, a well-fitting jacket will never "make you look short", but a bad one might! The sylkoil olive is very brown, it's never looked green at all to me.Do any short men wear the Barbour Beaufort ?
I am a slim 5'7 male who already owns a Bedale (Navy) but looking to add a Beaufort in Olive to the collection.
The length comes slighty below mid thigh wearing a size 36c. Is that too low ?
Am not looking to buy another Bedale or Ashby. Also i've noticed that the 'Classic' in olive looks abit more brown'y than green tones ?
It sort of fits me like a Border/Northumbria would fit on a 6 footer.
Your opinions....

I would tend to agree. The scale would look like something like this:I don't recommend the Beaufort to people shorter than 5'8. It makes you look a bit unbalanced and top heavy. It's a big, relaxed fitting jacket. Bedale is a better look for you. May I suggest you buy a different color Bedale?
I get where you’re coming from but I’m 5’11” and look awesome in my Bedale and Beaufort. No one has ever told me this but I’m sure they think it.I would tend to agree. The scale would look like something like this:
Bedale: 5'0" to 5'8"
Beaufort 5'9" to 6'1"
Border 6'2" to 7'0"
