Nice! I have those slippers in navy, very comfy. Like how the tartan on the trousers matches the trim on the slippers.

I got a navy Donegal merino jumper which I wore today, very happy with it. No photos unfortunately

The full tartan would be a bit much, right? With the trousers.

That jumper sounds really nice! Thick knit?

I think just the trim on slippers works great though.

Yeah the jumper is thick knit round neck.

Cheers, I actually bought it a couple of months ago from the South Shields factory shop for £30 against a £105 Rrp. It was amongst the factory samples but fairly sure it wasn’t a sample as it had all the tags including price.

I can’t find any sign of a fault with it.

When I got it home my wife asked if it was for her to get me for Christmas so I just went along with that.

I also have a highland 2000 hat in a similar colour. I would recommend them.

Not sure about wearing both together, could be overkill!

That’s awesome that you found that there! Wearing both isn’t overkill, I endorse it.

My girlfriends parents bought me this for Christmas, waiting until warmer weather to break it out.

I like that. I’m guessing all your family know to buy you Barbour!

Last year I got Ashby coat, lambs wool gloves and the slippers. All really good.

I had bought myself a Barbour Steve McQueen overshirt with furry lining but my wife wasn’t keen on it so that went back. Would have been nice and warm I reckon.

I think they know it’s a safe bet! I’m pretty happy with the fit of these Barbour shirts in a large, so why change?

That’s a shame about the McQueen, I bet that would’ve been super warm this winter.

Going to do mine soon. How long did it take you?

I have rewaxed a non Barbour wax cotton jacket in the past and remember it took a while.

It took about an hour. I spent a lot of time with a blow dryer and a cloth rubbing it out. (That’s what she said...)

Don’t forget to get some nitrile gloves unless you want your hands waxy too.

Is the difference between an Ashby and a "lightweight" Ashby reall noticeable?
