Brilliant write up and a good length.

I agree the modern Bedale does look more appealing.

Love the hand warmer pockets, one of my favourite features in the Ashby.

How does the overall fit of the classic Bedale compare with the Ashby? I was under the impression it would be shorter in the overall length and in the arm length. Neither a good thing for me

The Ashby is shorter and slimmer for sure! Not something that is good for a lanky guy!

That's very interesting! I originally chose the Ashby over the Classic Bedale because the c38 Bedale was too short in the body/arms, and the c40 Bedale was too boxy on me. The size medium Ashby was a happy, erm, medium.

I'm going to have to try on a new Bedale and see for myself!
