There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Guess some sort of proxy is the only option, beside paying full retail in the US?

I haven't tried them on side-by-side at the same time, but I've worn each of them and the Bedale SL definitely seems a bit slimmer than the Ashby.

FWIW, Ashby seems to have relatively shorter sleeves compared to other models.

Dang, good catch. I think when I was looking for the Bedale SL the reason I didn't see the 6oz version was because I wanted it in olive rather than sage. Thanks for pointing that out regardless.

I'm 5'9" and the sleeves on the Ashby in size small are a little too long for me. I'm okay with it though, because I cuff the sleves at the wrist to show the corduroy lining.

Nope. It'll alert you at checkout.

I believe the Bedale SL is slightly slimmer than the Ashby, but I tried them on during separate visits to the store and not back-to-back. I liked both a lot, but I went with the Ashby because I couldn't find the Bedale SL in olive in the 6oz material (I didn't want the lighter weight version or the sage color). If I would have located the Bedale SL in the 6oz olive, I would have had a hard time choosing between the two.

Does anyone know if Bedale SL or Ashby has cotton lining in the sleeves? I'm guessing Ashby has polyester but I'm hoping Bedale SL has cotton like the original Bedale.

all jokes aside, we're stoked that these feature absolutely zero waxed cotton. it's like adidas let barbour do what they do best on jackets, and barbour let them do what they do on sneakers. everything is top notch.

maybe we'll get some horse riding hi-tops for spring :bigstar:

5 9 170. 38 inch jacket size. Not sure what my actually chest size is anymore.

I wore it with a light wool sweater today and it's a bit snug when sitting but perfect when standing it probably won't close all the way at the top with a scarf.

    Hello,
Is there anywhere in the States that does quality alterations on Barbour? I have a Barbour Beacon St. Kilda that is way too big for me now. I love the jacket, but cannot wear it.
    Cheers,
    Jack
