I cannot figure out what I want as my next pair. PBJ xx-005 is what I was considering, but I have wanted Nudie Regular Ralf DS for a while, and now I am looking at Iron Army. The problem is that they are all nice jeans, so what to go with? I want a low-rise as I do not like low-riding my jeans if they are not meant to be like that.. currently I am working on my Crate James IV (and a lil on the Cheap Monday's)

all very different jeans!

don't pay stateside prices for RRDS-----NOT worth it. if you can get them for around $160, i'd say go for it.

iron army uses stretch denim-----not my cuppa. (neither here nor there, but the bible scripture on the pocket bags is a big minus IMO)

the PBJ's would be my choice. good price point for ringring-approved jeans.

Well, the PBJ-005 is definitely the lower rise than the RRDS and the Iron Armys (at least for size 30). However, they are also a lot slimmer, and you are not. They will not fit dudes with really big thighs as well as the RRDS, which are considerably roomier for the size.

If it helps you decide, I wear my RRDS way more than I do any other jeans, including Sorahikos.

I look very out of proportion in tight jeans (my Cheap Monday's look kind of weird..I do not think I want to pull the look off any more than in that pair)

That is the reason for not wanting the PBJ (although they look extremely awesome. Anyone know measurements for the Iron Army? The Sebastian cut looks great..

I agree with LA Guy about the fit. The PBJ 005's are quite slim, skin tight on me before stretching, and my thighs are only about 23" around. Given that you lift (I do too, but I'm naturally a rail-thin, famine-victim-looking guy), I'm assuming your thighs are larger. Have you thought about the 003's? I'm not sure what the difference is in the rise, but Blue in Green probably have measurements up on their site, and in any case they're quite helpful--you could probably just call them and grill them for a bit.

Yah that is why I began questioning the 005...the rise on the 003 is too high for my tastes..I guess I'm ruling out PBJ..

I think the PBJ rises are as follows, for a size 32.

XX-005 (9.5) < AI-001 (10.5) < XX-003/006 (11.5)

So the difference between XX-003 and XX-005 is fairly large.

Ya from photos I've seen I guess I will forget about the PBJ..I'm really like the Iron Army sebastian cut (all depends on whether I can find measurements of them now).

I tried the Iron Army back in Feb, don't know what cut it was. Are they all the same cut, with different names due to the color stitching or was that a different brand?

I'm not really a small person (but not big by any means). They fit me pretty well, from what I recall, but its been a while. I wouldn't worry about them being too tight.

The descriptions are all the same though, the few measurements they have (leg opening, rise, inseam).
