I had a mid-grey glen plaid odd trouser made up with suspender buttons, with no belt loops. This already seems a bit odd, sure.
Now that I've worn it a few times, I've decided that I don't want to bother with suspenders all the time. Without belt loops, my only option to keep the trousers at my waist would be to add side tabs. Is this a good idea?
Theoretically if I never take my jacket off no one will know, but what if I do? Should side tabs never be shown?
Even further complicating the situation is that I don't have any more of the fabric to make the tabs, though I feel I can find a similar fabric. The tab is a fairly small strip of fabric for anyone to notice the difference.
