OCBD as outerwear

It's too hot here to wear an OCBD, but too chilly for just a t-shirt.

Using the OCBD as an outer layer over a t-shirt or polo seems to work nicely. I used to hate this look because lots of people seem to use this to "dress up" where I live using any dress shirt, but I've grown to like it lately.

Jerrod shows it nicely

Despite its popularity I think that it looks "shleppy"

I agree with @comrade. There are much better looking overshirts/shackets out there. And how will people know this is not your way of dressing up? ;)

I had to google that word. Lots of s words. Slovenly, sloppy, schleppy.

Oh for sure, though there is that weird 40-60F temperature range where this works, especially as the day warms up.

For me, I think it'd be obvious seeing as I never do it unless at home or it's during an occasion where I'm dressing 'down', rather than up.
Only Steve Bannon does the multiple collar shirt look well.
Ehhhhhhh.

I looked up pictures and it looks more intentionally tossed in otherwise standard conservative outfits that are relatively more formal.

It doesn't look anywhere near as cohesive.
