President Obama is going to have suits made by D.C. tailor George De Paris, who disapproves of what the president currently wears:

All the presidents get suits made by George, but do they actually wear them regularly? What's George's cut like? Thoughts?

The savior of the economy should not wear suits made by a company in bankruptcy.

I've never been in to see George, but I've peered through the windows. To me, there was nothing that stood out but I didn't get a close inspection of his suits.

FWIW, there is a great cigar shop next door (Draper's). Worth a visit if you are in the area.

And though de Paris avoids any political affiliation, he will tell you in a heartbeat that Republicans dress better than Democrats.

Another misinformed article. Reagan used Albert & Frank Mariani since he was in college. Frank made the suit Reagan was wearing in 1981. I was in Frank's shop and he was showing me the replacement suit as he was making it. It was a cashmere suit. Paris is a MTM operation.

Looks like he's finding his way around town and assuming local habits. Since all the other presidents have, well why not...

Right. I didn't say he made all of their suits. I said he made suits for them.

Isn't he known for a rather boxy cut designed to hide Clinton sized beer guts? Obama is going to be swimming in these suits.
