This brand doesn't seem to come up a whole lot, but it's one of my favourites so I figured I would start a thread for it - I can't be the only fan.

Started by Luke Meier (formerly of Supreme) with a heavy involvement from Chris Gibbs (Union LA) in the earlier collections (maybe only the first season?), it's an Italian based label manufacturing in Italy and Japan and it seems like some of the more recent, more basic pieces are coming out of Portugal.
They do what I would describe as tailored streetwear with a heavy military reference (internal suspension systems, grosgrain reinforcements, kevlar hardware). Their prices have gone up pretty steadily but every piece I have is kind of over the top in terms of detailings.
Their footwear is made by Heschung and is equally as detailed.

Sizing wise, they tend to favor relaxed bottoms but tops seem to run slightly small ime, I'm generally an XL but take a XXL in most of their shirting and sweaters that I've tried.

I have the OAMC x Heschung Karakoram boot, which I like. Very comfortable as you would expect from Heschung, but significantly more expensive at full retail than regular Heschung boots.

I like some of their outerwear pieces and shirts as well. I have their lightweight bomber in black from FW15. Have never tried their knits or trousers.

Yeah the Karakoram boots look rad, I really wanted the survey boots but only a few eu stockists seemed to get them and I missed my size.
Footwear wise I have the perf bulchers from last year and the 8000 sneakers from FW. Sized down 1 on both.

I bought the Frame shirt, but ended up returning it. I really liked it, but because of the adhesive detailing, you need to hand wash it (certainly can't dry clean it, etc.). I just don't have the time or inclination to hand wash shirts.

I went TTS on the OAMC boots. Almost picked up the Alpine shoes as well, but I have too many pairs of shoes so passed!

Instead of flooding my IG with look book photos I will just post them here. OAMC FW16 looks so damn good, I felt like this season (summer16) was a bit of a down season for them, there were a bunch of great pieces and I picked up a few things but there wasn't anything that I needed, there's about 10 things I need from the fall season. The knitwear looks insane, the outerwear is crazy, the paratrooper style pants and "dart pants" are necessary and there's an insanse flight suit, although it's probably going to be $2,000 or something so I'm not expecting many shops to order it.

I like OAMC a lot and I would agree with what you said there, the SS16 collection was a little mild, although still had some very nice pieces. FW16 looks fantastic however and quite excited to see what they do for SS17 which is being shown in a few weeks at Paris. OAMC is possibly the strongest newcomer of the last few years, well rounded, completely walking their own lane and seems like they have caught some good attention with gaining the Paris place and ANDAM nomination.

Also recently put two and two together and who I am assuming is Luke Meier's wife? Lucie Meier, who is head designer at Dior, which im sure comes in handy for OAMC.

A few FW16 items have dropped today at Colette - http://en.colette.fr/homme/fall-winter-collection-2016-17.html

Yeah I've been wondering about that Dior connection but I've never been able to find any solid info on it. It seems too perfect to be coincidental though.

I really like my OAMC sunglasses, and feel like the brand quality is very high and the cuts are nice. Unfortunately the details are usually a little weird and their infatuation with neons and altelier heschung footwear are pain points. I see the brand doing well if they can get their act together.

I really like Their atelier Heschung collabs - I was dubious about the neons as well on the footwear, but after having seen it in person quite a few times, worn well, I'm a convert. Of course, I love heritage brands like Heschung done a bit gonzo, so I'm biased.

Some of the details are a bit off, but in general, I think that the outerwear is pretty on point. I just always find something that I want more. I would like to see the brand really do some really standout pieces - I have enough go to brands for basics already.

That clicked while I was looking through the #oamc tag on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/p/BAxnwqPyojh/ - purely guessing but id imagine her connections at Dior would be helpful for OAMC getting their high end European manufacture - either way it doesnt matter, there isnt really another brand out there like OAMC at the moment so I hope they continue to do well.
