So, anyone buy those OSB Natural Commando Sole Summit Boots that were up on ebay recently? Winner got 'em for a total steal, only $100 plus shipping! I was about to pull the trigger, but didn't want to stay up until 1am EST.

Just ordered some Nat CXL Lakeshores the other day. How in the hell is there barely 20 pics in a 97 page thread for this brand?

No idea why Oak Street gets no attention. Probably the lack of community involvement from the people behind the brand. They kinda don't seem to give a flying f*ck.

Personally my first real boots were OSBs. I owned 4 pairs. I think they were all the field boot I honestly don’t remember, but I had a black waxed leather, color 8 cxl, natural rough out and natural leather. I ended up selling them, and what I got next really changed my opinion on OSB, and that was Viberg. Viberg is just leads and leads ahead in quality and design. I would never go back to OSB, and I think a lot of people on this forum would just rather go Viberg or Alden.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, Oak Street is offering 20% off everything--including sale stuff. I took advantage yesterday and bought another pair of their Trail Oxfords in natural at $180 that I discovered a few years ago. I'd worn the LL Bean Bluchers throughout college a long time back, and as the Bean Blucher styling has changed--and not to mention the quality has gone down hill--I'd been searching forever for something close to the original Bean Blucher. The Trail Oxford from Oak Street is the exact same timeless design as the Bean Blucher, but the chromexcel leather and the overall craftsmanship on the OSB is so much better than Leon Leonwood's offerings from 30 years ago.

Here's my question: have any of us tried on the navy suede Trail Oxford with the red camp sole? In terms of shoes, I have never owned anything other than brown or black leather, and I'm not sure if this is something that would be eternally parked in the closet, or if I find I'm wearing them in casual situations all the time.

Does anyone own these who can weigh in?

I've owned many pairs of OSB over the years. The prices now are quite nice. The quality and value for the price is excellent IMO. These aren't Viberg, no, but then again these aren't $700

I bought the navy trail mocs in the recent Memorial Day sale. So far I've found them very easy to wear casually; they're great with shorts. The sole isn't as bright as it might seem.

Some new camp boots on Huckberry:

Between the extremely sloppy stitching and the overall lack of shape, I suspect these were made by Maine Mountain Moccasin. Any thoughts?

I mean, I only have one pair of MMMs and have only handled 3 others, but the stitching I had was clean (on par or better than my circa 2013 Oak Street moc boots).

I've seen older pairs, especially the New England Outerwear line that were nicely made. But the two pairs of MMM I bought and returned in early 2020 looked like they were made by D students in a middle school Home Ec class. Truly shameful "quality control."

Yeah, towards the end they were falling apart as a business, so I suppose a quality fall down was inevitable. Mine were MMM and not NEOC, I think circa 2017/18, and they looked great then (and I think a beat to hell great now).

The decline of MMM is depressing. I'm a huge fan of Maine Handsewn boots, and they were the only company producing 7-8 eye boots and interesting make-ups the last couple years.

Edit - other than Yuketen of course... I tend to forget them as they are rarely available in my size.
