1. Hi. We moved systems, and because it was impossible to achieve feature parity between the systems, we opted to archive the old B&S threads but allow users to read them so that they can put them into our new B&S system.

There is a support thread if you have any issues.

Natural Rough-Out Horween[IMG] Chromexcel[IMG] leather Indigo Vat Dyed in Japan. True Goodyear Welt Construction. Dainite[IMG] soles. Stacked leather heel with Dainite[IMG] toplift. Fully recraftable. Handcrafted in the USA.

Just beyond age old farmhouses, scattered and perched on ledges that dot the narrow hillside of the 650 year-old vertical mountain village of Fujino in Japan, stretches the crop of indigo that will be harvested for these boots. It is here, inside of a 160 year-old silk farm house nestled within the village, that the Natural Rough-Out Horween[IMG] Chromexcel[IMG] leather - cut by hand in our New York factory - undergoes countless hours of preperation, pH balancing, alkalinity neutralization, and saturation in indigo vats.

Upon completion of the indigo dye process, the leather is sent to our factory where each boot is crafted on a bench, the old fashioned way, by master shoemakers with over 20 years of experience. Each pair still sewn by hand, with precise attention to detail.

Bonding to leather as it does with denim, the indigo will abrade and fade to create a distinctive piece of footwear. Due to the natural characteristics of indigo and the handmade nature of the boots, each pair will be uniquely different.

Built on our Elston last – a unique last providing exceptional fit and shape. Developed to embody the character of Chicago, the Elston last is engineered specifically for the Trench Boot providing the comfort yet durability demanded of the every-man.
