is in the Sunday issue, and online already [Saturday].

Jamie Foxx is on the cover.

I've skipped through over half of it and am still looking for the exciting part.

Or is this too much to hope for?

    Anybody?

For maximum excitement, move alligator to crotch level.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say no one can pull off that look.

Can someone link to the issue? I can't seem to find it from the front page.

Click on the fashion & style section of the daily newspaper; you can find a link from there.

I must admit that while I hate the ensemble, those shoes are exactly what I've been looking for on ebay with NO luck whatsoever. Obviously I'll never be wearing them with a white suit, but I'd like some slim black laceups that don't come standard with a fat sole sticking out. Am I just looking in the wrong places or can someone offer a tip for finding similar black laceups? Everything I find is so... chubby.

What do you mean by "fat sole sticking out"?

Those shoes look like they have cemented soles. If you want welted shoes with a small heal and discrete welt perhaps John Lobb bespoke will do the trick?

hm.. I believe the cemented sole is what you're referring to, where it doesn't protrude significantly on the sides of the shoe. My issue is that any shoes w/ those features seem to run around the $500 range and at the moment I'm only able to put say $100-150 into my footwear.

Yeah, I read it a couple hours ago. Every few pages I turned to my gf and said, "this is really boring." The only good thing in it was the article about the guy from Burberry, Christoper _____ (something). Maybe there were one or two individual items featured that I liked, but that's it. I even skipped over the watches. Blech.

EDIT: Oh wait, they have a little side-bar comparing sort of In and Out of style. They have P Diddy listed in the column that seems to be In and Andre 3000 as Out. They cite P Diddy's understated elegance or something like that and deride Andre 3000's more outlandish style. Huh? P Diddy was blinged when bling was cool, now he's "understated" because that's cool. Andre 3000 doesn't seem to care what others think and just goes with what he likes. That is having style.

Just tried to read the rest of it. As noted above, the Cathy Horyn piece on Christopher Bailey of Burberry was moving. And the spread on the taste of Mr. Kalendarian at Barneys had some nice items, though the writers marred it for me by referring to a button front shirt (the horizontal stripe one with a semi spread collar) as a 'button down."

Who edits this thing? Someone is asleep at the wheel.
