My wife and I are headed to NYC tomorrow; haven't been back since the summer before 9/11. Six days of comfort, great food, great shopping and visiting with my sisterinlaw are the plans; Four Seasons Hotel, Le Bernadin/Jean Georges/Daniel/Alain Ducasse and shopping on 57th, 5th and Madison. Since I'm retired I don't wear suits much but this time it's the Oxxford Gibbons 3 piece, two Oxxford Crest, T & A shirts, Hermes/Brioni/Zegna ties, pantherella socks and JL Prestige shoes.

Six days seems like a good length for a visit. So much to do and see. I hope to make it to the city next month, but probably only for a long weekend.

since u r an Oxxford fan you may want to pop in to Filene's at Union Square if you are down that way - they had a decent amount left last week, on sale for about $700.
