NYC Nightclubs: Avenue, PH-D or Lavo?

My girl and I are headed up Saturday morning for one night. My buddy can get me in with no problem to each of these 3 places.

From what I gather (reviews and stuff), Avenue is tiny with great music and super pricey. PHD has great views, 2 bars, great music, etc., and Lavo can tend toward the jersey shore crowd.

Thoughts?

We're not huge drinkers - we're just looking for a place where we can soak in the vibe, hear some great music and dance.

Avenue has 90% ****** people but the rest are ok, ph-D is mostly Russian prostitutes (the aforementioned models, ***** please) and business people but maybe 30% good crowd so I'd pick that. View is nice.
