NYC MTM Suit / Shirts - Power Attorney Vibe

Just started brand new job with a significant increase in pay. Firm prides itself (in the Wall Street Journal style section a decade ago) in promoting a "power attorney" dress code in the office. Don Draper and Patrick Bateman appear to be style inspirations.

I'm looking for recommendations for MTM, no need to go full Bespoke. Budget is roughly $350 a shirt and 3K a suit but would prefer to keep it below those numbers if at all possible. Also willing to go above if it's really worth it.

I'm 5'9, 190 LBS and a bit barrel chested. Please let me know what local New York City recommendations you might have.

Yeah The Armoury is terrific - and they have many different models from Southern Italian (Model 3) to Florentine (Model 15) to mid-century American (Model 12). You can definitely lean into the look that works best for you.

I'd also say No Man Walks Alone has a highly regarded MTM program. J. Mueser is also in your price range for MTM/bespoke.

Similar to the recommendation above of Paul Stuart (they have RTW and MTM options) I'd say that Alan Flusser MTM may also be able to get you that quintessential power attorney look and in your price range.

Fellow attorney checking in. Armoury model 3 should do the trick. I know you said no to bespoke, however it is worth noting that Luigi Solito regularly travels to NYC and is pretty comparable in price, depending on fabric and where the euro is, and will probably come in around 3k. He is also a great guy all-around, and travels with Luca Avitabile, who makes amazing shirts for your price range. I would have gone with the Armoury for a model 3 on my last two commissions (Orazio Luciano and Solito), but my wardrobe at my current job is far more casual, and I wasn't in a huge rush to have them done.

Here's an interesting option: Zegna or Tom Ford.

Not in the U.S. though. In the Milan flagships, prices for MTM are much much cheaper than in the U.S. stores. If you can take some time off, you can fly to Milan, get fitted at one of those boutiques, and still come out ahead financially. And you get a trip to Milan out of it.
