Going to be in the city for New Years. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for any good places to go. We'll probably want to start with dinner and then either bar hop and or just be around Time Square (maybe). Seeing the ball drop isn't a priority, but I was wondering how crazy the whole area gets on New Years Eve? If you have a suggestion for a place to have dinner and hang out til midnight, I'd like to know that also (we can hit the streets after midnight).

Thanks

I'd suggest you stay as far as a way from timesquare as possible. Unless those types of crowds is what you want. OTHerwise, last year I looked into getting of those packages at clubs where you spend $250 (per person I believe) for a table with some booze) but my friends didnt want to pay for it. I'd check that out.
