the amount produced may be one factor, and sure, there's the "I want it because other's can't have it", but what's disappointing is that quality seems low down on the totem pole.

    Then your nuts.
Their stuff is actually nice and you don't really fuck around with billionaires who have some amazingly talented designers working for them and the fact the don't need to skimp on their factories or fabric. Don't hate on them because of grwoing pains or whatever show they started at. These girls have been into fashion and the understanding of fashion for many many years.

This is not an attack but your out look on things and MANY other like you on the forum drags down the true talent because of stupid name recognition.
The name shouldn't matter unless you are loyal to a brand that does its craft well and this runs the gamit from
    Levis to McQueen.

if you buy a shirt because you understand what goes into the shirt and it fits you well that's a good thing. If you pass on a kick ass shirt or whatever just because the name you are a fool and a follower and probably get snowed and ripped off all the time.

    just my 2 cents.

    Best,
    Mauro

Syl- quailty comes at a price and that's why. Is this fickle instant gratification age it's hard.

Of all the things to get worked up defending, the Olson twins are an unlikely one. Why would I want to give money to a couple of spoiled morons, when I could get something equally nice and give money to people who aren't spoiled morons or know the difference between "your" and "you're"? They're awful. Every time I'm reminded of their existence, it is depressing. I will not do anything that will mean I have to continue to be reminded of their existence in the future.

The twins went to school to become designers. So they are loaded big deal.
I could care less about the twins they both could get hit by a bus and I wouldn't bat two eye lashes but to say their product is crappier than other by just their name is silly.
that's all I am trying to say.

I do wish people would support more undiscovered designer and want to put quality first but sadly that isn't the case.

I personally won't purchase goods from designers that don't have a body of work I'm interested in. And yes that doesn't me the individual piece can't be nice.

    1. I was an apprentice to Salvatore Abbelogini in Milan for nine months.
    2. I know my fit better than anyone (see Our Bodies, Ourselves: Bespoke Edition).
    3. My idea of fun is bathing my white, casual trousers in tea for five days to produce an authentic khaki color like our lads did in the Subcontinent.
