I swear I'm cursed with great LB finds that either don't fit into my wardrobe or duplicate something I've already got. I've been looking for a great hot weather jacket for forever. I finally broke down and got an unconstructed LB this winter and had a quarter lined HF recut for me by Fields last fall. Then this comes along
One Luciano Barbera Collezione Sartoriale linen jacket that probably retailed for around $2000. It is quarter lined (including the sleeves) and has a rather course weave. The linen itself is extremely soft and supple - it reminds me of the soft towels in a 5star hotel. The jacket is unvented, has three buttons, patch pockets, and is canvassed. The pick stitching looks hand done although it's hard to tell with the irregular weave of linen. The shoulder basting is still attached (it blends into the fabric pretty well so remember to remove it before wearing!)
Measurements Please check these closely, this is a fairly athletic fit jacket.
Shoulders - 19"
Chest - 45.5-46"
Sleeves - 25.5" (1.75" of extra fabric for lengthening)
Length - 31"
I did a thorough look over the jacket and there are no flaws. Asking $400 shipped anywhere in the states. International will cost a little extra. I will only offer a refund if I screwed up so please compare the measurements to one that fits you well.
