NWT: BB Golden Fleece Navy Pinstripe Suit

Many of you remember my decision to buy this suit (from a thread on Ask Andy's). Unfortunately, I had never tried on a BB Golden Fleece before and the fit of the trousers is a bit too tight for me. This suit is ridiculously nice and I really wish the fit was better for me.

I'm very interested... ugh... I've tried on a few BB suits before though and they run slightly large... I'm usually a 38S... Do you think this would fit me?

Without actually seeing you, it's hard for me to say. I'd guess that it would be hard to pull off unless you're closer to a 39.

However, I would just run to the $1500 aisle at your local Brooks Brothers and check it out. If you decide you want to buy it, PM me and we can work out a better BIN price.

Very nice suit. As for the sizing, I wear a size 40, and I find that BB GF fits true to size.
Is it not worth it to alter the pants to fit?

Brooks trousers, for me, are too tight in the seat and thigh. I went to the Brooks Brothers store in the mall yesterday and the best they could do was recommend I go with a 35" waist and take in the actual waist (which would require me to buy a one of their Brooksease suits). If you wear GF suits in 40S, though, it's a pretty good find. So for me, the pants are pretty much un-alterable. But if you do fit a Brooks Golden Fleece 40/34 then you shouldn't have any problems with this one.

The pants are an issue for me as well... I'm usually a 29 waist .. doesn't look like this suit is for me

That's a great price for a great suit. I hope someone here takes it off your hands. Be sure to put it up on AskAndy if you haven't yet. There seem to be a few more Brooks Brothers fans over there.
