Happy Autumn!

DESCRIPTION

Anderson's is a family-owned firm in the Shetland Isles. A cottage industry of knitters make the sweaters by hand, and their quality is recognized as far as Tokyo. (Actually, like other niche brands, it seems they have more of a following in Japan...)

The Everest sweater is based on the sweaters worn by Edmund Hillary and his team on the ascent of Mount Everest.

The wool has the warm, thick, and insulating qualities associated with Shetland sweaters but is spun to be lightweight and soft (important when you're packing a lot of gear!). It has none of the usual "chainmail" weight or scratchiness associated with lesser Shetland sweaters from your youth.

The Everest also has an interesting grooved shoulder accent, seen in the pictures.
Knitted in seamless, tubular construction for a smooth fit.
Ribbed hem and classic turnback cuffs.
Excellent drape, soft hand, rich color and nostalgic comfort. (Really!!)

Color is "mogit," a rich, autumnal fawn color with sandy undertones.
Size is 38. That is the chest size. Will fit someone who takes a 36 or 38 jacket, depending on how you like the fit.
Pictured on a model (not me).
