NWT ADRIANO & SONS/ALAIN SOLID CHARCOAL FLANNEL SUIT US44/EU54 MADE BY RAFFAELE CARUSO
A very neapolitan-style quality suit, made by Raffaele Caruso. ADRIANO & SONS (now called Alain) was a small Italian label run by Adriano Fracasi; their suits and jackets were made by Raffaele Caruso, to highest standard of Caruso stuff (better than Caruso mainline).
Some highlights of this suits:
Ticket pocket, 3-roll-2 button front, fully-canvassed, half lined, soft spalla camicia shoulders, high armholes, trim fit, shorter skirt. Trousers are single pleated, zip-fly. Lots of very discreet pick-stitching, genuine corozo buttons, hand-made button holes. Fabric is a medium/heavy weight flannel, 100% wool, very soft and smooth, with amazing drape. Color is solid charcoal or dark gray overall. The silhouette is very elegant, with very natural shoulders, very elegant lapel roll and trim waist, dual vents. The trouser fit is typical Italian, with relatively low-rise, trim through the thigh, slim leg ending.
Measurements:
Labeled 54EU drop 8 R, fit small to size, fit better for US42 or slim US44
Shoulder width -18.5" (47 cm)
Chest, armpit to armpit - 21.75" (55.2 cm)
Waist - 20.5" ( 52.1 cm )
Sleeve Length - 26.5" (67.3 cm) (original non-functional buttons, never been altered) ~2" can be let out
Back Length from bottom of collar to bottom - 30.25" (76.8 cm)
Pants waist - 35.5" (90.2 cm) up to 3" can be let out
Pants front rise - 10'' (25.4 cm)
Pants inseam – 36.5" unfinished (92.7 cm)
Leg opening - 7.8" (19.8 cm)
