For sale I have one pair of the RLPL model known as "Carter", made by Edward Green in Northampton. This is a version of the EG model Ecton that was made especially for Ralph Lauren a few years ago and is now discontinued. The Ecton is related to the quintessential EG Dover, being a 3-eyelet version of the split-toe Norveger style shoe with hand finishing. It differs from the heel construction of the Dover in that it lacks the oft-debated counter; instead there is a rear seam, leading to a sleeker profile IMO. Crafted on the elegant 888 last in black calf. Given this configuration I believe this makes a very fine shoe for wearing with a suit, despite being a Derby. This particular pair features an oak bark tanned HAF leather sole.
The apron of the Dover/Ecton/Nevis is sewn by hand using a pig's bristle, as described here: http://www.permanentstyle.co.uk/2010/02/hand-sewing-at-edward-green.html.
These are new without box and no shoe bags. First grade stock but please note that there is some minor creasing to the vamp of both shoes (see pictures for close-up detail). This is as a result of the shoes being tried on in the RL flagship store at New Bond Street in London and not from being worn outdoors. Both soles are pictured and you will note they are completely unblemished.
Sizing wise these are a 10.5UK/11US in the UK designated standard E width (equivalent to a standard US D width).
Please note these will have to be shipped via a courier as the package will exceed the Royal Mail 2kg limit. Therefore increased shipping costs are incorporated into the price.
