Haven't had it in years. It's a weakness of mine, so I've done well to avoid it (plus it's also expensive in Seattle). <3 6+ lbs jars

I prefer making my own hazelnut/cashew butter. Much healthier, just as tasty.

That hazelnut/cashew butter sounds amazing.

Yes, it's delectable. Just add a cup of hazelnuts and a 1/4 cup of cashews--for creaminess, due to their higher fat content--into a food processor, and then add either macadamia nut oil, or hazelnut oil (depending on how intense you want the hazelnut flavor) and blend until you've reached desired consistency; add a bit of kosher salt to taste, and try your best not to eat the whole batch.

The good stuff I doubt even makes it out of Italy.

Oh BTW real peanut butter has oil sitting on the top.

I have an acquired childhood immunity -- it just looked gross to me when I would see it in the lunches of Italian kids in gradeschool. I never tried it, and assumed from the colour that it was chocolate, which just struck me as the weirdest thing to put on white bread. Oh, and of course in the childish, gradeschool way it also seriously looked like smeary ****.

The first "meal" I ever had in Paris was a nutella crepe. It is the first thing I eat whenever I return and I refuse to have one anywhere else.

It is on my final meal list.

We get some good giandujas (chocolate-hazlenut spreads) at the fancy groceries in town. I bet most Whole Foods carry some better Italian spreads. They kick the **** out of Nutella. The ingredients list in Nutella really is disgusting.
