Nudie vs. Naked & Famous

Hi,

I'm kind of new to the whole denim game. Yes, I've read threw several threads on APC, Nudie, and Naked & Famous as well as various other raw denim. I still have a few quick questions.

I bought two pairs of Nudie Slim Jims about 2-3 weeks ago. I've been wearing them on the weekends to break them in as much as possible and even slept in one pair once (never again). They are still stiff as a board and very uncomfortable.

Next, I bought a pair of N&F skinny guy stretch off of this forum from another member. The comfort level is out of this world. These are so soft like pajamas and I really like the low rise.

So my question is, do Nudies soften up over time? How do they compare to Naked & Famous? Are there any N&F cuts that compare to Nudie Slim Jims. I'm looking for a straight leg with a low rise, I'd rather not have the taper on the lower leg.

Thanks guys!

You are comparing stretch denim to raw denim. Stretch denim will obviously be more conferrable regardless of the brand. However raw denim is also comfortable after the break in.

Oh ok thanks. I thought Nudie was stretch as well. My slim jims are 2% elastic.

If the Nudies are 2% elastic, then they are stretch denim.

But yeah, they soften up with wear. If you still absolutely can't stand to wear them, soak them in cold water to get rid of the excess starch and hang dry. You should not lose too much dye, so effect on fading will be minimal, IME.
