Hey all,

I'm still fairly new to these high quiality jeans and I decided that I want to buy a pair of Nudie Slim Jims or APC New Standards. On another forum I posted a WTB post looking for these jeans.

Anyway a fellow contacted me to say that he has a pair of Nudie Slim Jims in my size and wants xxx amount for them. He said that these jeans are made from dry japanese denim and are of a higher quaility than the jeans listed on most stores websites as they are made from broken twill denim. The price he is asking is about the same as a new pair from most of the stores web sites (after discount).

I guess what I'm asking is, does Nudie make jeans in both dry japanese and broken twill demin and if so what is the price difference?

Thanks!!

They're different. Slim Jim Dry Broken Twill retails for $165, Slim Jim Dry Japan retails for $199. Go to mynudies.com or search the forum for more information on the differences, but they are, in fact, different jeans.

slim jim dry japans would be better quality than ... only other nudies, imo. People's main criticism of nudie is that at the point your jeans have broken in and faded, the jeans are falling apart. They just aren't built to stand punishment. Broken twill doesn't mean higher quality, it just means that the jean is woven with the twill going in both directions. Tradionally the twill is woven left handed, so the denim eventually twists itself after washing due to the tension, which is why you see the outseam on some denim twisted to the front of back of the leg. Broken twill avoids this, some people like it and some people don't. If you're looking for nudies, I would recommend Cultizm.com, they seem to have the cheapest prices.

So to answer your question, how about the APC's?
