Now that we're postponing our trip to Egypt, where should we go?

+1. I would still make plans for Egypt. I was in Thailand a few years ago during the protests and never felt in danger. and plus, tourism centric countries usually get their **** together quickly to prevent the further decline of tourists visiting the country. The areas that you would visit (pyramids, ruins, etc,) usually have added security too.

this isn't what he asked. "Now that we're postponing our trip to Egypt, where should we go?" Now let's stop trolling, and give the guy some recommendtions.

Where should we go?

Looking for someplace far-flung. We have two weeks and a flight/hotel budget around 6k.

Places we've already been:
-Australia
-A lot of western Europe
-The South Pacific
-Carribbean
-A lot of CONUS.

Greek Islands. Very cool. Spend some time on Santorini, stay in Oia. Absolutely magical.

Gentlemen, you're a wealth of knowledge. Research has commenced on Greece, Chile, Turkey and Dubai.

don't go on a vacation to Dubai, unless it is a stop over on the way someplace.

.

+1, WTF.

Greek island is a good recommendation. You could also go to Argentina (natural wonders+big ass cities).

Japan is really really gorgeous in November. Probably the best time to go.

Not too far-flung but Eastern Canada is spectacular in the Autumn. Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Bay of Fundy...
