Noticed something about my jacket fits and it's bothering me

I'm not sure if I'm being obsessive or this is a real concern. It seems like there's excess chest room in my jackets. I tried on my JCrew Ludlow, Brooks 1818, and RLPL jackets once I noticed it - all of them do this. I know I can't size down, though, because my back is already borderline-tight in all of these jackets. Are my arms unusually far forward or something? Is this something a tailor can easily fix?
