anyone ever try washing by viewing herzog's strozeck, placing the jeans on a block of ice and waiting for it to melt?

Actually, it's not so common to dry clothes here as it is in the USA. The reason I'm told American clothes last longer, is that they are designed to be washed and dried after every use. [pre-shrunk etc]

I don't wash jeans much because I don't wear them much, I have 3 pairs anyway, i don't do anything strenuous in them, and if i did, they would shrink. I'd have to squeeze ino them.

So not till after some weeks or months, depending on how often it is worn.

I wash mine after each wear - inside out, each one individually, and line dry.

BTW: Does a steamer actually remove odor? I have one for wool slacks but I use it to remove the wrinkles. After wearing them a few times w/o washing (my wools slacks) they STINK after the hot wet air hits them... Sorry, slightly OT.

I used to wash jeans after every wear until I started buying the good stuff. I realized it's actually quite senseless; it only ruins them.

I wash mine after 2 days, and have a regular rotation. Luckily I don't suffer from a fade fetish so I doesn't bother me how they wear being washed all the time.
