    there is a couple retailer links that you could e-mail. that would seem to me to be a better resource then the "dresser." personally, i would e-mail the company themselves ... i would think they know about sizing, yes?

    Plus an inanimate piece of wooden furniture would be terrible at measuring.

    If you have no luck there though, I'll ask him - he is a 44" chest though.

    I just thought getting an opinion of someone who has 3 of these would be helpful. In my experience, when I ask a retailer for information regarding fit, I often just get the measurement diagram found on that particular retailers website.

    No no, I didn't take your original comment the wrong way or anything, so it's cool [IMG]

    My offer still stands if you need it [IMG]

    If you're up for sending a quick email then go for it. Would definitely be useful. I'm going to buy one of the Expedition sweaters soon so I'll be sure to post my thoughts on style and fit on this thread when I get it (probably after Christmas).

    I ordered the sub knit in cream from the Mandon store

    http://www.themandonstore.com/apparel/brand.html

    I highly recommend the store who provided great service. Sadly I returned the knit as it was too big and I'm not a fan of the lanolin smell that these knits have but the construction and the style was fantastic.

    Cabourn does one very similair and I would hazard a guess that it's probably supplied by NSC, unfortunately carries that same sheepy smell. Some love it but it wasn't for me.

    Interesting stuff. If you don't mind me asking - what size are you normally and what did you order? How was the fit? I'm sure Cabourn does a similar one, I'm also sure it'd be an extra £100 or so... I like Cabourn but he tends to break the bank!

    Just received this in an email:

    Yes the fit is snug e.g. the 42" measures 21" pit to pit so only room for a t shirt underneath if you prefer room for more I suggest a 44". Shipping will be free via "airsure" which has a tracking number .

    I hope this is helpful, We are very low on some sizes though.

    Regards

    I bought the navy tneck in 46, normally I'm a 44 chest, it's still tight. Built with tank-like construction though. Recommend.

    Haven't bought but for anyone looking at other sizes here is what I got in an email.

    44 = 22”

    42 = 21”

    40 = 20”

    Best thing is to measure your chest under the arms; if you prefer a looser fit we recommend you go one size larger.

    Regards.

    How itchy are they?

    +1 for The Mandon Store. They were super helpful even during the mad rush of the holidays. They still haven't refunded my VAT yet, though.

    They are as itchy as anything from Black Sheep.

    I've been looking at these for a while and am kind of digging the Intrepid pattern. Will probably grab one when it is available again.
