Anyone have any idea what kind of deals they'll have? I saw some threads from a few years ago saying that the salesmen usually have a good idea of what's going on sale and for how much. Has anybody asked someone this year?

Not sure of exactly what is on sale, but I got a call from a Nordstroms sales rep about the "pre-selection" sale where you can buy stuff before the actual sale starts. I'm going in today to see what is available.

I'm thinking about checking it out as well...doubt I will get anything tho.

I did however, check out Nordstrom Rack in Towson, MD recently, and if you have big feet there's a ton of AE in big sizes available for cheap. I saw multiple pairs of Walnut Strands in 13D for $179.

E Clifton in black and walnut for 199.90. To Boot New York Aaron also for 199.90. Not bad considering the 295 original price tags. [IMG]

How about suits? I've been eyeing the charcoal HF. If so, will I stand a chance of nabbing a 42L?

Suits are pretty decent. But most of the stuff Nordstrom carries are fused. The SA claims that Joseph Aboud and Ted Baker suits were canvassed but SFers have said otherwise. I saw some suits marked down form $795 to $499. Good deals but nothing to rock the boat.

If anyone remember my beautiful friend Alexis from Aaron's (Mack) last sample sale, she works in the Nordstrom Mens Dept in Pittsburgh. I'll gladly connect anyone to her if they wish.

Actually, the one I am interested in is fully canvased, and the normal price is $1300. Would a high end suit like that be part of the sale, and what are the chances of getting my size? Will they put it on hold for me if I go in prior to the sale?
