Non-white tongue pads?

^ Depends on the root cause. I have a rather thin foot such that there may be too much volume in the vamp of shoes which fit otherwise well. A tongue pad helps in this case.

I see... if the tongue area fits pretty well, would heel pads help in that case? I ask because I get some heel slippage even when I feel that the laces have become too tight, and I know I have a very slim heel.

i'm a little confused. do heel pads help heel slippage or do tongue pads?

I have found both helpful, but if you need both, your shoe is likely the wrong size.
