My sight is getting worse and I hate my current glasses so I'm officially on the market for a new pair.

I'm personally (and assume at least a few of you) am getting tired of nerd glasses and wanted to see what are the alternatives to the currently popular thick, vintage, nerdy styles are out there.

Any glasses with some swag SF?

I've been very happy with my titanium Lindbergs. All of the hinges are the same, so you can swap out temples and frames in any combination.

I think glasses tend to be nerdy by nature. I wear glasses, and I find it difficult to find ones that don't follow the "nerd glasses" style. You pretty much have to shell out for the designer frames, and even then those are often more ostentatious.

I got a nice looking titanium pair from See Eyewear that I really like. $299 with lenses included so I thought that was pretty reasonable. Oliver Peoples has some sharp looking eyeglasses too, but those will be even more.

well, that's the thing with eyeglasses, you have to 'embrace' the inherent nerdiness of the concept and look of glasses. and if done that, the stylishness comes out of that factor. trying to make a pair of glasses non-nerdy and 'cool' will make it converge to those thin ovaled frames that you see ubiquitously carried by all major fashion brands like versace, hugo boss, and the ilk. a lot of those are made to make it look you are not wearing anything on your face, or at least make it appear less conspicuous.

Thelonious Monk wore bamboo frame glasses. I was never able to find a pair.
