Any thoughts on maintaining oxblood/cordovan shoes-- either calf or shell-- without using the classic Kiwi polish? In the more beeswax-oriented family, are there flavors of Saphir or Cordonnerie Anglaise that are equally well able to maintain the classic color (or darken a Burgundy hue)? Some I've seen look much more purple than the full-blown oxblood.
