What is the prevailing wisdom on pants with the non-iron feature.

I know it is typically a feature of lower end pants, but if you were to get some, what's the best way to go? I've seen them from dockers, llbean, talbots, land's end, etc. Any opinions on the variance of quality? Or are they all pretty much the same?

Also, please suggest other brands/deals you know of.

i've got a pair of heavy tweed John Varvatos pants that are amazingly impervious to creases, folds, etc that would affect a mere mortal pair of pants. seriously though, i'm really impressed by how i never have to iron them. wish i could find more pants like them.

I should have also mentioned, I'm looking for light, casual, summer pants. I walk around a lot in NYC, and don't want to be sweating in wool.

Brooks Brothers is a good choice foir no-iron khakis. The Elliott model is pleated and made of reasonably substantial material. They really do come out of the dryer in very presentable fashion as long as you don't let them sit in the dryer after it stops.
