Yes it counts! I should have clarified that earlier, yes giving up anything to friends, family, or other.
The real test is to give something away that you yourself would like to receive.

Time for another wardrobe-thinning, methinks. So difficult though. I keep telling myself that once I fill all the "holes" in my wardrobe I'll switch over to a 1:1 exchange (I will get rid of something for ever new item I purchase.) The only problem is that I keep discovering new holes that need to be filled (twss?)
