You guys are weird in these no purchases club things. Maybe you should mitigate your withdrawals by saying 'thrift only' during the month. It's like eating ramen to save up for something.

    ...

Then again, nevermind. GTFO of my thrift stores.

Wow, I'd really like // have to join this club as I've spent
    almost $700 during October.
But, if sales keep on popping up, you know I can't resist good deals.
Is it considered cheating to join mid-November?

If I can make it through the first 15 days, I think I can go a whole month.

In. Taking delivery of stuff in November actually purchased in October doesn't count right? And neither does stuff purchased in November that actually arrives in December?

    purchases in october = OKAY
    purchases in NOVEMBER = BAD

Count me in...but also I think that the fact that my birthday is this month will help me with this. Just have to be clever about dropping hints about what I want [IMG]

I'm out. With the economy the way it is they need our business. Consumers spending less will only spiral us into a deeper reccession.

Had a close call this weekend. I went on a yard sale excursion on saturday with the gf. Luckily, there was nothing worth purchasing. Also, I accompanied said gf on her Sunday errands. Tempting though it was not to buy anything in Kohl's, I was glued to the car window as we passed Filene's in the shopping center.

However, I did buy some birthday/christmas gifts. A Roffe Sevenfold tie for my Dad's b-day, and some picture frames for my Mother. Anyone else have a selfless shopping experience?
